We would like to invite you to celebrate Capoeira our work over the past year at our annual Batizado (grading ) and troca de cordas (change of belts) between 11-13th of October 2018 in Reading. As usual, it will be a very diverse event with a variety of Capoeira workshops for adults, kids and families, music workshops, rodas, demonstrations and so much more. What is Batizado? Batizado & troca de cordas is our annual belt-grading event where capoeiristas who have joined us this year receive their first belt (are baptised into Capoeira) and those who already have a belt change their belts (troca de cordas). If you are new to capoeira and this is your first Batizado then read our article on 'My first Batizado - what to expect?' to get an idea of what it is, how it is done and why it is important, including stories from our advanced students about their first Batizados.
